Hoping your days are filled with beautiful fall colors.
It's been so gorgeous here. The fall is my favorite time of year and you can't really beat the fall in New England. We've been taking beautiful walks and just savoring the colors.

Lots is going on as usual. Let's get right to it. As always, check out http://www.vt-fiddle.com for the latest and greatest raw food bulk supplies. I'm thinking about starting a raw food buying club. Any takers? Please email me and tell me if you are interested. This could be lots of fun. Thanks!
RAW haps for this week and beyond:
- just made a chili delivery to the Open Arms Cafe in Shelburne, VT. What a joy it was to see this brand new cafe. It inspired Matt and I so much. Sam and Acoy are the owners and they are really nice folks. We met them at a reggae festival a couple years ago where I was selling my chili. Then they had a taste test of several items we had after a Level 1 and Level 2 class I had. It was perfect timing for them to be able to try lots of RAWsome food. They will also be carrying my date nut torte in a couple weeks. Anyway, if you are in the Shelburne area from 7 am until 2:30 pm, check them out for tea/coffee, juice or deliciously prepared food made by local peeps using local ingredients. Sam has gorgeous paintings up - she is a painter like me. The place looks great. My favorite part is the spoon chandelier as you walk in. WAY TO GO GUYS! Congratulations on your grand opening and many blessings for a successful cafe.
- This Wednesday night (October 8th) is my gRAWnola and milk workshop at Hunger Mountain Coop from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. I'm looking forward to seeing the new mezzanine area of the coop - there's been so many changes to the place recently. Please come to learn and eat a hearty breakfast/hiking dish. What is VT without granola I ask you? HOPE TO SEE YOU THIS WEDNESDAY!
- Deliveries will be made to Hunger Mountain, Healthy Living and Sweet Clover Market on Tuesday (tomorrow) so get your lunch and sweetie items there. Delivering: RAWsome Chili with "sour cream", Zucchini Hummus, Chick-UN salad, Sunshine Salad (formerly Eggless Egg Salad), NOT Tuna, Super Mint Fudge, Super Orange Fudge, Hazelnut Spice Cookies, Ginger Crackers and God and Goddess Butters. Matt just informed me that the Super Fudge I just made is the best ever. Aw shucks! I have to say that I agree. I made it and had some and had a pimpin' amount of energy tonight. Almost too good.
- SALE ON NUT MILK BAG SECONDS! We have some V-shape bags for sale! $3.00/bag which is a 60% mark down from the retail price. The only reason why they are seconds is because the v-shape is a bit uneven. Get yours today! Send me an email to purchase yours and don't miss out on this sale - they won't last long!
- Wednesday, October 29th is my Velvet Chocolate Workshop at Hunger Mountain Coop. We'll be learning 2 kinds of dreamy, velvety chocolate: one with carob and one with cacao. Check out the hungermountain.com calendar page for more info.
- Tuesday, November 11th is something new. I'm showing Gabriel Cousen's Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes documentary at Hunger Mountain Coop at 5:30. I'll have tasty raw treats to eat while we watch the documentary. Don't miss this. It's a fantastic film. Check out the hungermountain.com calendar page for more info.
- Tuesday, November 18th is a repeat performance of my Chocolate Dream Pie workshop. If you missed it the first time, come to this workshop in November - you won't be disappointed by it. Check out the hungermountain.com calendar page for more info.
- Tuesday, December 2nd is a joint workshop with Peter Burke. We're doing a Sprouted Green Smoothie workshop. Don't miss this! It's sure to be fun and informative. Check out the hungermountain.com calendar page for more info. Check out what Peter does here: http://www.thedailygardener.com/
Information for your reading pleasure:
Caramel Apples
Don't waste this on the trick or treaters! (did I really write that? Oh I'm sorry!) :-)
Ingredients
* 1 fuji apple, washed
* 4-5 medjool dates
* water or lemon juice if necessary
* pinch of celtic sea salt, ground
* 1/4 cup hazelnuts, chopped
Wash the apple and dry. Set aside. Use a thick chopstick and poke into the center of the apple. In a food processor, add the dates, pinch of salt and a dab of water or lemon juice to keep the processor moving. Blend until a thick paste. Spread the date paste onto the apple and then roll into the chopped nuts. Enjoy!
OK, I'm outta here. Enjoy your week and start adding some raw food to replace something less-than-stellar in your diet today!

Hearts and hugs,
Linda
P.S. Need some bulk food items? Well, send me an email or check out what I have on my products page! I have more than what is listed. My friend told me I'm like a chinese market here. COOL! I love it! I'll add more to the site. I just need to find another me to do some work so I can do other stuff... :-D
