Hi there everyone!

A busy week this week - so much going on so I'll get right to it:

Please come and visit me this Saturday, October 13th. I'm going to be at a table with raw food samples at HMC's Annual Food and Wellness Expo from 11am-3pm. It will be held at the city hall in Montpelier. I understand a clown will be there too! Should be fun. It's free so there's no excuses! :-) Come try some free samples! I'll have things for tasting that are on sale at the hunger mountain coop as well as new tastes and flavors. I'd love to hear what you think and see if you'd like to see them in the stores. I'll be demonstrating how to make nut milk as well so you can see how to do that if you don't already know.

Last Wednesday I started delivering raw food to L.A.C.E. in Barre! So if you live in those parts, please support your local community store and grab some good raw eats there! I have the NOT Tuna, Chilli, Superfudge, Spice Cookies and Ginger Crackers for sale there.

This week I'll have the following food in the grab and go section at HMC:

  • NOT Tuna - this is delicious, made with many local ingredients including fresh local dill! It tastes great and I even sell this by the pound if you are interested. The NOT Tuna tastes fantastic with the Ginger Crackers. Try it for yourself! I'll have samples of this at the Food and Wellness Expo. Ingredients: walnuts, local pepper, local celery, local onion, lemon juice, dulse flakes, olive oil, local dill, local garlic and Celtic sea salt from Maine.
  • RAWvioli - made with local turnips and rutabegas! Made with local tomatoes! I can't believe I'm still getting local tomatoes this time of year. This is another delicious and filling meal. Ingredients: turnips (local), tomatoes (local), pine nuts, macadamia nuts, walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil (or local sunflower oil), lemons (or lemon juice), bragg's liquid aminos or nama shoyu, garlic (local), honey (local), cayenne pepper, Celtic sea salt from Maine.
  • SuperFudge - A sweet treat and one of my favorites. I call this Superfudge because it's made from many superfoods and you'll feel like a superhero when you eat it! Unbelievable. Raw food sweets are better, in my opinion, than any other sweet treats. Ingredients: cashews, agave, cacao powder, maca, mesquite powder, hemp powder, vanilla extract and Celtic sea salt from Maine.
  • Spice Cookies - Sweet, but not too sweet! These cookies are delicious - like a ginger snap cookie only better. These cookies have blackstrap molasses in them, which isn't raw, but a nice source of iron. Ingredients:  hazelnuts, cashews, honey (local), blackstrap molasses, extra-virgin coconut oil, cinnamon, orange zest, lemon zest, nutmeg, cloves and Celtic sea salt.
  • Ginger Crackers - This is a simple cracker and very delicious - it's made to to bring out the flavors of whatever you are eating. Break it up over a salad, eat with the Chilli or the NOT Tuna. I've been selling this by the pound as well. Ingredients: flax seed, local garlic, ginger and Nama Shoyu. That's it!
  • Sweetie Crackers - Another simple cracker that is great with many things. I use this as bread for my kids for their sandwiches. I personally just like to munch on them just as they are. Flax is a great seed for women and children. Ingredients: flax seeds, bananas, water and orange extract - that's it!

It would be greatly appreciated to have your input. I have testimonials that I need to get up there... All in good time - again, a work-in-progress.

OH and I'm SURE you are wondering why this newsletter is entitled "We've got green walls!" Well, it's because Matt has been so diligent and constructive! He painted the happy green color that I picked out and it's so exciting! I hope to have this place open soon. I'll keep you posted on that.

Like I said! Lots going on! I am amazed with the amount of letting go that I'm doing with regards to this dream (a really good kind of letting go). I am equally amazed with what is transpiring before my eyes. It is quite a journey and I thank you for letting me share this with you each week or so. I'm excited to make a place that I love to be in, to make food in and to teach people about living foods. It's all good.

This is long enough so I'll go. Expect a new recipe next week! This week I'm busy making samples for you. Please come on Saturday to the Expo. I'll be psyched to see you!

Take good care and many blessings,
Linda
