the RAW news for this week!

Greetings and raw salutations!

Hoping this email finds you well, happy and staying cool! It's a hot one here in VT! Gorgeous days! Our garden is growing and there's lots going on around here!

NOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THAT HOUSE? Well, we're still working at it - the gardens are happening. Matthew Delorey is planning a planting party which *I think* is happening on Monday, June 24th from 10 - 3. Please call me to volunteer: 223-2111 or Matthew at 223-5314. (Call Matthew first please!) I'll be having some raw food eats for lunch as incentive!

More good stuff to follow! I'll keep you posted!

Potluck has been moved to Thursday, July 19th from 6-8 pm. We had a really nice time this past month! Please remember to bring eating/serving utensils including plates. Thanks!

Tuesday, June 26th from 6-7 pm is a RAW POTATO SALAD workshop at Hunger Mountain Coop - Here's a hint - it's not made from raw potatoes - its JICAMA! Yum - yum - give me some! Join the fun!

Saturday, July 7th from 2-3 pm is an ANGEL HAIR PASTA WITH MARINARA workshop at Plainfield coop. This is a recipe you can make right out of your garden. In fact, this is what we did last July and August.

Matt is now making nut milk bags / sprouting bags! And they are nice! Cost is $7.50 plus tax. He's the man! Call or email if you'd like them.

I have Vita-Mix Blenders for sale! I totally love this blender - you can make soup with it, flour/meals for making your own breads and crackers (raw or otherwise), ice cream and of course smoothies. If you run the thing for 4 minutes, you will actually boil whatever you have in there! Email for details please!

I have Vitamineral Green for sale in 1 lb dark glass jars. This is a great food to add to smoothies particularly when you are transitioning to raw foods or needing extra green support. This stuff rocks. Email for details.

Weekly Raw Food Coaching is available! This is ideal for those who wish to receive weekly raw food recipes (a food plan) plus email support. I have weekly recipes for the newbie raw fooder (or for anyone who wishes to have a raw food dietary plan mapped out for them.) You'll receive 3 recipes plus snacks each day for 7 days. Recipes plus shopping list are included as well as email support from me! Cost of weekly food plan + email support is $40.00/week. Contact me at 223-2111 or linda@vt-fiddle.com for more info or to register.

Guided Customized Raw Food Challenges are also available! Please contact me for information: 223-2111 or linda@vt-fiddle.com

• For all of my raw food classes (including Alissa's) I offer a free NUT MILK/SPROUTING BAG to Hunger Mountain Coop members. So mention that when you register for classes and I'll hook you up.

• I also have Alissa's Living on Live Food book here for sale and it is also for sale at Hunger Mountain Coop.

raw food recipe for this week

It's starting to get hot here and I'm sure lots of people around the country are knee-deep in hot and/or humid weather. Here is a recipe for a green smoothie that is mostly from your own garden

green smoothie

by Linda Wooliever

3 bananas or pears
1 good bunch of greens like chard, kale, lettuce
a few sprigs of dill
5 cups of water

Blend and serve.

The dill gives a surprisingly minty taste. This is a RAWSOME recipe!

Enjoy in joy,
Linda
