another RAWsome week!

Greetings and raw salutations!

Well, we are seeming to be coming out of a few grayer days with rainshine instead of sunshine. Right now as I look out my window, I see what appears to be the sun trying to make its way through the clouds.

What a fun time this is! I am finishing up with 1 very custom raw food challenge, 1 meal plan coaching and another just started! I absolutely love doing these challenges and coaching with people. One of these days I'll get some testimonials up on the website - it's truly amazing to see positive change happen so quickly. I am always completely blown away when I see people's reactions to the food and most particularly, when I see them after a raw challenge. After 4 days, I saw this person's face look so incredible. Skin is this new, healthy pink color and the tone is amazing. The eyes were bright and clear and the person expressed much happiness in eating my food. Well, I tell you honestly, I am so grateful to be a part of this and wishing for many continued blessings for each of you.

ANNNNDDDDDD I've got Level 1 and Level 2 classes this weekend! Please call me if you want to take the class. If the cost is prohibitive for you, call me anyway and we'll work out a payment schedule. 223-2111 is the number. For those not interested in certification, please call for special pricing.

In the Level 1 class, we do the simple easy recipes that get you started and eating this way right now - no need to worry about food combining, soaking, sprouting - let's just eat! We'll make and eat 7 raw recipes that are fan-ditty-tastic. Friday's class is from 3-8 and costs $125.

In the Level 2 class, we cover the soaking, sprouting, dehydrating and making the more "complex" recipes as well as loads of other environment/lifestyle/health factors that may or may not arise when changing into a diet comprised of 60% or more raw food. We make and eat 5 incredible gourmet meals over a two day period. It's a huge eat-fest! Saturday's class is from 10 - 6 and Sunday's class is from 10 until 2. The cost is $650.

You learn so much, you eat so well and you become empowered to make raw food an EASY inclusion into your life. This is about you learning how to do this for you, ultimately in whatever way that works for you...

Weekly Raw Food Coaching is available! This is ideal for those who wish to receive weekly raw food recipes (a food plan) plus email support. I have weekly recipes for the newbie raw fooder (or for anyone who wishes to have a raw food dietary plan mapped out for them.) You'll receive 3 recipes plus snacks each day for 7 days. Recipes plus shopping list are included as well as email support from me! Cost of weekly food plan + email support is $40.00/week. Contact me at 223-2111 or linda@vt-fiddle.com for more info or to register.

raw food recipe for this week

OK, that's enough of that. Onto the recipe for this week!

Morning smoothie

by Linda Wooliever

After 6 years of experimenting with % of raw foods in my diet, it's taken me a few years to be able to have a morning smoothie. I used to have a few sugar-related issues that made it hard for me to have smoothies and not get light-headed. So now I'm able to eat AND ENJOY my morning smoothie. I love my morning smoothies. Something awesome happens when you can be so grateful for the food that you eat. I totally love it, feel fed, nourished and enlivened/energized.

Today's smoothie was a bit of an experiment. It is often the case that I throw stuff together and make some yummy things - sometimes things don't work but it's hard to really mess up a raw food meal. (I did it once though with too much hot pepper! Accidents happen.) Anyway, this morning I used what was laying around and I'd love to encourage you to start experimenting. Here goes:

4 ripe bananas
1 lemon, peeled and de-seeded
2 T raw tahini
2 medium tomatoes
3 cups water
splash of agave

Blend in the VitaMix - pour into 4 glasses and enjoy. This was a total experiment and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. So was Matt. It's a less sweet tasting smoothie than usual and it was a nice change this morning.

Enjoy in joy,
Linda
